Globe Miami Sting Announce Their Latest Signing

The Globe Miami Sting are excited to announce their latest signing, RB Laz Avila. Laz lead the CFL this past season in rushing yards and was named to the CFL All-Star team. Laz began his minor league football career with the Tempe Knights in the AzFL, he would go on to play for the Phoenix Outlaws and most recently the Glendale Rangers. In 2009 Laz was instrumental in helping the Rangers reach the 2009 CFL State Championship game.

When asked about the signing GM Robert Bartlett had this to say, "This is another great signing for the team. Laz is a very good player but also he is very well respected and gives it his all to the team. He will help inject good work ethics to the team. The Sting Organization is thrilled Laz is giving us a chance as we look forward to continuing building a championship caliber team.".

The Sting look forward to October when regular season practice starts. We also look to have more news of additional signings in the near future, so keep checking back as the Sting continue to build for the 2011 season.
